“Andrew?”

“Huh? Oh— Lucas,” he grinned, backtracking a couple of steps to a small alley between two apartment buildings. “What’re you doing there?” He wrinkled his nose at the faint odor the alley gave off. “It’s kinda gross in there isn’t it.”

Lucas gave a shrug, turning around from the edge of the street to wander a little further in, as Andrew followed him. “Had to test GPR3 in a new environment.”

“GPR3?”

“Green Pizza Robot. Number three,” Lucas explained, coming to stop in front of a manhole in the middle of the alley, where a small robot stood.

Andrew blinked at the thing’s dull grey exterior. It looked like a standard science-kit robot, if not for the protruding black case in the back. “Why… Green Pizza Robot?”

Lucas turned around, eyebrows furrowing in confusion at Andrew’s question. “I like the color green. And pizza.” He looked back down at the robot, waving at it with the controller in his left hand. “And this is a robot,” he added, almost as an afterthought.
